What’s a sexagenarian?

Catchy tittle, huh? Even a little titillating. But let’s get something straight right from the start. Sexagenarians are people age 60 through 69.

That’s us—Karen and Dave—and yes we’re living in a loft in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. We made the move in June, 2010 after returning to the area from Carmel, California where we had lived for the past three years.

Prior to that we spent a couple years in Little Rock, Arkansas. And before, we lived mostly in Northeast Ohio—Cleveland and Akron. Actually, Karen had lived there all her life, and Dave had been in the area for most of the years since 1970. Check out our bios to learn more about us. By the way, we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary in the loft on July 15, 2010.

What’s it all about?

This site is about  people of a certain age living downtown in a large city. The city happens to be Cleveland, but we’re betting our Cleveland experiences are similar to those we might have in any city. If you don’t know Cleveland, you’re in for a treat. It is really livable, has a low cost of living, great cultural assets, major league sports teams, an unbelievable park system… We could go on, and will in our posts.

One more note about content: because we’re rather eclectic there’s bound to be a lot more than just downtown living or Cleveland. We hope you’ll find that additional content informative and enjoyable as well.

Welcome to our loft. Come on in and stay a while. We’ll try to be good hosts, and we hope you’ll have an enjoyable time.
